Pan African Collaboration for Data Science
Despite the growing recognition of the importance of regionally responsive and well- coordinated health research in Africa, many institutions and researchers continue to face critical challenges in data infrastructure, governance, and resourcing. In response, Africa CDC and DS-I Africa are partnering to explore strategic alignments and address key gap areas, including pandemic preparedness, technology leapfrogging, data ecosystems, and data governance.
The Village team was present at the pan African conference on Data Science at the Africa CDC in Addis Ababa from the 10th March 2026. For two days, thoughts and innovations in Medtech and AI solutions were shared, ideas developed and solutions planned. Above it all, our platform is set to become the core of the collaborations that were forged. Together, we're strengthening collaborations in global health with Africa and The Village at the center.
